Burning Ring

A year long short documentary shot in the fall of 2016, Burning Ring is a classic sports tale of a team and a captain battling against long odds to win a national title. Centered on the perspective of Noah Saul, Burning Ring tells the story of Raleigh Ring of Fire’s cinderella run at the 2016 USA Ultimate Club Championships


Hugo works as both a reporter and videographer for Ultiworld, the premiere new site for ultimate in the US. He has worked on multiple Ultiworld live video productions of national championship events in almost every division while also reporting on ultimate programs and athletes throughout the Southeast. Raleigh Flyers

After volunteering part time to do video and media work with the Raleigh Flyers in their first two seasons, Hugo became an integral piece of the Flyer’s staff writing, directing and producing content for the team while assisting the coaching staff with game day operations. Under his direction the Flyers have expanded their reach on social media with 5,000 + followers on facebook and 300+ subscribers on youtube. On July 4th 2016 one of his clips came in at #7 on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays.

Competitive Ultimate Training

In March 2017 Hugo started working with Competitive Ultimate Training to expand media content engage current and potential campers and coaches.

Starting in August 2017, Hugo began working alongside Cardinal Gibbon’s Athletics program as part of their legacy project. The goal was to show how Cardinal Gibbons Athletics lives up to the school’s mission of Faith, Service, and Leadership to inspire young student athletes to build a legacy of excellence with their programs.
